Catching up with Ever

Ever is growing up right before our eyes, and its happening so fast.
She is the sweetest girl, and were so blessed to have her in our family.
The biggest thing thats happened is probably that she started school.
She attends Muir Elementary, and is in the chinese immersion program.
Half her day is with a chinese teacher, speaking only chinese, the second part is english.
She has done so well in school, and loves it. She is speaking chinese amazingly well, and reads almost anything. She made it past her class spelling bee and into the first grade bee. She came home that day, and I could tell she was trying not to cry. I asked how it went and she said good, then started crying and said she spelled rocket wrong. I told her how proud I was of her and that she worked so hard and thats all that matters. She said two boys cried and she told them how good they did and not to be sad. She has the sweetest heart! She has so many friends and is loving everything about school. She has 2 days left of 1st grade, then its summer time. We all can wait for summer, its so nice to have her home with us. I never knew I would miss her so much while she was gone, Westbrook misses her all day too.

Ever loves animals more than anything I would say. She wants a pet so bad and I think we finally are ready to get one, a bunny. Hopefully it goes well, she's already drawing plans for the bunny hutch her and Rhett will build. She will hold any animal, even snakes. My neighbors caught a snake in their yard, and had it in a bucket. Ever scooped it right out and wrapped it around her neck. She is a fearless little thing. She loves collecting stuffed animals too, I can't even count how many we have, but she shows no signs of stopping. When we asked the kids if they thought we should have another baby, she said no I want a dog! Silly girl, she's excited for the baby though!

She is quite the adventurous girl, she loves anything and everything. She loves dancing, tumbling, and is so close to her back handspring. She's still playing soccer and is doing so good at it. She has asked to try karate, football, baseball, and even wrestling. She would try them all and give it her best, she always does. She likes to win, and is very competitive. Yet a very good sport most of the time too. She recently got a BMX bike and loves going to the bike park with her dad, she picked it up very fast and loves going. She enjoys the outdoors, and loves hiking, swimming and exploring.

Some of my favorite things about Ever are her imagination and creativity. She loves to make up games, build things, collect, draw and do anything with her hands. She's a lot like her dad in that way. She is quite the artist and can draw so much better than I can. She likes to dress up, and wear makeup. Then go outside and get super dirty, silly girl! Everyone loves being around Ever, she's such a joy, so much fun and truly has a beautiful soul. She makes me want to be a better person every day. We love you Evy Bev!!
